After months of working to upgrade our site, we are proud to launch indieMogul (beta)!     What does this mean?  Well, it means that indieMogul is officially off and running.  We encourage you to read About Us, decide if you like Our Philosophy, and determine if our Curren...

Our Philosophy

The motivation for building indieMogul originated from what I felt was a need for myself and many people who want to be financially independent and/or are looking to start their own business. I’ve heard the following feeling expressed so many times: “I want to start a business, but I do not know where to start.” The mission of indieMogul is to be THE place to start for those looking to start a business, grow a business, or invest in a business.

No doubt we have all seen the infomercials or internet ads selling the “secret turnkey system that anyone can do.” We want to remove the secrecy and scamming from learning how to make money. There are ways to make money with scamming people or being scammed, and we want to help you determine how you want to do it.

When you sign up for our site, you do not have to worry about you information being sold to a third party company. You will not be spammed. We respect you as a partner in building a community that is valuable to people like us, and a community cannot be valuable if you have to wade through spam and other garbage information. We want to provide quality content in a safe environment.

There is nothing that I hate more than seeing materials that claim to help you start a business, but when you read them, you are left with the same vague business ideas that everyone else that bought the material received. Furthermore, a start-a-business guide cannot walk you through the questions that you have when you are trying to start your business. One of the main goals of indieMogul is to stress action! Ideas without action are just ideas. We want to provide real tools that you can use to build and grow a company.

Recently, I have seen people forming groups on general social networking sites that are really meant to share family photos and keep in contact with old friends. Why use a general social network to try to start a business or build a contact base when you could use one that is focused on entrepreneurship? The people that you will interact with here will be here for the same reason that you are not to look at photos. We know that this targeted network will become a resource for you to find useful information, share ideas, and learn how to build your company. We want to provide a quality online community focused on starting and building a business and entrepreneur networking.

But, we know that you can’t do everything at once, so let’s get focused!
